Employer Recognition Scheme Silver Award Achieved by MCL

Marlborough Communications Limited (MCL) have been awarded the Ministry of Defence Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS) Silver Award, progressing from their longstanding Bronze status. Earlier this month, key veteran team members attended the South East ERS Awards ceremony on behalf of the business, accepting the award in recognition of the company's active and ongoing commitment to the Armed Forces community.

The ERS is a government-backed initiative that recognises UK employers who go beyond policy to actively demonstrate their support for veterans, reservists, and their families. Silver status reflects a considerable step up from Bronze - requiring employers to show that their commitment is embedded in culture and practice, not just written into HR policy.

For MCL, this recognition reflects work that has been underway for some time. As an engineering-led defence technology business with over 40 years of history working alongside the UK Armed Forces, MCL's connection to the military community is personal. MCL are proud to employ veterans and reservists within their team, and earlier this year ran a social media campaign during Armed Forces Week - giving those colleagues a platform to share their experiences and perspectives publicly.

MCL's commitment extends beyond its own workforce. Active Silver Corporate Membership of the Royal Signals Institution and sponsorship of the British Army Drone Racing Association reflect a commitment that goes beyond the contractual - being present in communities that depend on the capabilities MCL supplies ensures that what gets delivered actually reflects the needs of the people using it.
